Zion Baptist Church celebrated its 2025 Annual Men’s Day Worship Service on Sunday, October 26, 2025. The theme for the occasion was “Upright Men: Navigating Life Through Downright Troubled Times” (Psalm 37:37 and Job 1:1).

The Men’s Day speaker was Rev. Adeira Black, Pastor of Hickory Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Rowesville, South Carolina. Rev. Black delivered an inspiring message encouraging men to remain steadfast in faith and integrity as they navigate the storms of life.

During the service, Brother Merrick Phillips, Sr. was honored as Man of the Year for his exemplary character and commitment. He is recognized as a man devoted to God, his family, his church, and his community. His dedication to servant leadership and his willingness to go above and beyond have inspired greatness in others.

Zion Baptist Church, located at 801 Washington Street in Columbia, South Carolina, is currently under the leadership of Interim Pastor Rev. James Palmer.
