Beta Beta Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated held its biennial Debutante Cotillion on December 21, 2023, at Seawell’s. Poise and grace are the words that came to mind when the 2023 Miss Blue Revue Debutantes first appeared before a crowd of parents and guests. The Debutantes wore the conventional white gown and satin gloves, but this affair was far from the traditional event. This Cotillion was different; it was a night filled with celebration and a display of etiquette, community service, and college preparation for high school females.
The attendees were entertained throughout the evening by Mr. Russell Perkins and Mr. Eric Quzack. Rev. Adam China and Mrs. Cindy Lisbon served as the Master and Mistress of Ceremonies. The theme, “Embracing the Extraordinary through Service and Scholarship,” was echoed throughout the program and in the motivational speech provided by Ms. Latorsha Murray, the 11th South Carolina State Director – Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated. The cotillion highlights the organization’s scholarship and comprehensive educa-
