Young local wrestlers shine at national competition

Two local youth wrestlers, Eli Franklin (6 years old) and Prince Collins (7 years old), traveled to Tulsa, Oklahoma to compete in the nation’s biggest youth wrestling tournament the Tulsa Kick-Off.

Eli Franklin pinned his first two opponents, including the number one seed from Texas to make it to the semi-finals. In the semi-finals he won 12-0. However, in the finals he was pinned and ended up in 2nd Place.

Prince Collins went undefeated in his bracket and won his division. They were honored to meet Olympian and World Champion Jordan Burroughs (Olympic gold medal in 2012 and six World Championship gold medals in 2011, 2013, 2015, 2017, 2021, and 2022).

Both boys wrestle under Kevin Emily at Mighty Warriors Wrestling Academy.

Applicants must submit an online form, a detailed innovation proposal, business needs and goals, a financial snapshot, letters of commitment, and a crucial 5-minute video.
