Voorhees University student body elects SGA President

Mr. Nicholas Brown, a junior Computer Science major from Kingston. Jamaica was elected Student Government Association by his peers at Voorhees University. Mr. Brown will serve as the Chief

Executive Officer for the Student Body. He will also serve as the Liaison between the students and the Board of Trustees. Nicholas is a hardworking and responsible individual; he is a role model and mentor for young men on the campus of Voorhees University. His educational experience and pursuit of knowledge will solidify his determination to become successful in all his endeavors.

Mr. Brown’s Grade Point Average of a 4.00 on a 4.00 scale for four (4) consecutive semesters. He is highly active with the Student Government Association where he served

Partlow attributes much of his success as a coach and administrator to his organizational skills. He earned his undergraduate degree in mathematics from Johnson C. Smith, so structure and organization were important.

He was offered his first job at C.A. Johnson to be a math teacher. Coaching basketball was secondary. After several good years at C.A. Johnson, he was offered the job at Booker T. Washington. Against the advice of friends and co-workers, he took the job.

After a lifetime of impacting the lives of young people, the now 90-year old Partlow is honored to be a member of the South Carolina Athletic Hall of Fame.

as Vice President and currently serves as the 2024-2025 Student Government Association President. Mr. Brown is also an active member with Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. where he serves as President of Zeta Gamma Chapter and Member-at-Large for the Southeastern Region. Nick, as he is affectionately called, is regularly active with the W. Franklin Evans Honors College, the Pre-Alumni Council, Media Club, the International Student Association, and the President’s Student Advisory Council.
