Voorhees University will host its annual Baccalaureate and Hooding Ceremony honoring the Class of 2026 on Friday, May 1, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. The ceremony will take place on the second floor of Wright/Potts Library on the University’s campus.
This meaningful academic tradition serves as a formal and reflective milestone for graduating seniors as they prepare to transition from students to alumni. The Baccalaureate Ceremony provides an ecumenical setting in which graduates begin completing their academic regalia, symbolizing both their scholarly achievements and their connection to the institution from which they have earned their degrees.
Serving as the featured speaker is Darrell Jackson Sr., a distinguished leader, pastor, and longtime member of the South Carolina Senate.
