viously served as president of Voorhees College, acting provost at Claflin University and interim president at South Carolina State University. He also served as vice president of academic affairs at Virginia Union University and associate vice chancellor of academic affairs at Elizabeth City State University. He began his career in K-12 education as a teacher and administrator. He holds a Ph.D. and a master’s in education and bachelor’s degrees in journalism and entomology/biology, all from Georgia State University.
The finalists bring a combination of leadership, academic expertise and commitment to student success that will guide Denmark Technical College into the future. The next president will be responsible for strengthening workforce development programs, expanding access to higher education and building partnerships across the region while preparing students for meaningful careers and fostering economic growth and community engagement in South Carolina.
