Allen University is proud to announce that U.S. Congressman Jim Clyburn will serve as the guest speaker for its 2026 Commencement Ceremony, to be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., in John Hurst Adams Gymnasium.
A distinguished leader and advocate for education, equity, and public service, Congressman Clyburn has spent decades championing policies that uplift HBCUs and prepare future generations for
success. As a senior member of the U.S. House of Representatives and a respected voice in national leadership, his presence marks a significant and inspiring moment for the graduating class.
“Congressman Clyburn’s legacy of leadership, resilience, and commitment to service aligns deeply with the mission and values of Allen University,” said Interim President, Dr. Stanley J. Pritchett, Sr. “We are honored to welcome him as our Commencement speaker as we celebrate the achievements of our graduates and prepare them to make meaningful contributions to the world.”
