Many people don’t know that Carowinds is open year-round – even in Winter months. Here are two major events being held at Carowinds this season:
WinterFest
Held on elect dates between November 28, 2025 – January 3, 2026 from 12-8 PM (12-9 PM on Saturdays). Check www.sixflags.com/ carowinds for the complete schedule.
WinterFest is a fun event with a little twinkle; experience festive live shows, select Carowinds rides & attractions, Santa, and specialty holiday food & drink.
There are live shows, light displays, select activities, and most rides are included with park admission; Food, drink, merchandise, and select holiday experiences require a separate purchase.
New Year’s Eve at Carowinds
Ring in the new year with Carowinds! Bid a fond farewell to 2025 and hello to 2026 during the family-friendly New Year’s Eve celebration at Carowinds, the largest party on the state line. It will be held on December 31, 2025 from 2 PM to 1 AM.
Join family and friends for a special countdown celebration to midnight to ring in
the new year with fireworks. Guests with early bedtimes can enjoy an authentic New Year’s Eve experience with several early-evening countdowns and other New Year’s activities.
