Two Richland One educators have been recognized by Columbia College’s Alternative Pathways to Educator Certification (APEC) program. APEC Fellows are classified staff who are seeking teaching certification.
Caughman Road Elementary School instructional assistant Teona Knowles was named the recipient of the APEC Professional Commitment Award, which recognizes
an APEC Fellow for their dedication and willingness to go above and beyond in their field experience and coursework.
Leslie-Ann Jones, a parent and family engagement specialist at C.A. Johnson High School, received the APEC Aspire Award, which recognizes an APEC Fellow who is new to the field of education and has demonstrated a commitment to excellence in the field and classroom.
