The two-day festival will feature
- Screenings of over 40 independent projects across Drama, Comedy, Sci-Fi, Animation, Horror, Historical Reenactments, Poetry, and Music.
Independent Films & Documentaries representing more than 15 countries across genres including Drama, Comedy, Sci-Fi, Horror, Animation, Historical Reenactments, Poetry, and Music Videos.
● Red Carpet Experience – unlike most festivals, Queens Underground encourages attendees to dress up, celebrate, network, and capture glamorous moments.
● Industry Virtual Panel Series (2 parts) featuring national professionals (details forthcoming).
● Awards Presentation on Saturday evening followed by networking at the Hilton Hotel directly across the street.
The event will take place on Friday & Saturday, October 10–11, 2025 from 12 PM – 8 PM on both days. It will be held at the South Carolina State Museum in Columbia, SC.
Tickets must be purchased in advance — required for both the festival and museum entry. No money can exchange hands onsite at the museum. The festival is 1 8 + only.
Queens Roots
Founded in Jamaica, Queens, NY, the Queens Underground International Film Festival is a nonprofit dedicated to showcasing independent filmmakers, screenwriters, animators, musicians, poets, and creatives from across the globe. Since launching, the festival has produced over 20 successful events featuring artists from more than 25 countries—and is now expanding its reach to South Carolina.
