The Hive Community Circle is bringing its signature Roast & Toast fundraiser presented by Palmetto Citizens back to Columbia on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, inviting community leaders, advocates, businesses, creatives, and supporters to come together for an unforgettable evening celebrating 11 years of impact.
Guests can expect an elevated evening featuring specially curated coastal cuisine, all-you-can-enjoy oyster creations, seafood specialties, and Southern-inspired small plates. The Don Luchi VIP lounge will include handcrafted cocktails featuring Don Luchi wines and prosecco to complement the culinary experience. High-vibe music, interactive lawn games, and energetic music will create an atmosphere designed for celebration, connection, and fun.
This year’s celebration will also shine a spotlight on individuals whose leadership, service, activism, and generosity are making a difference across South Carolina. The Hive will honor:
• Mayor Steve Benjamin with the Hope is Leadership Award
• Niwdayra Tapia, “Ms. Popular,” with the Hope is Activism Award
• Jonathan and Heather Tiedman with the Catalyst Award
• Billy Sinnett with the Hope is Legacy Award
• Ann Turner with the Hope is Philanthropy Award
Together, these honorees represent the many ways people can use their voices, resources, leadership, and influence to strengthen communities and create meaningful change.

Now in its second year, Roast & Toast presented by Palmetto Citizens has become a signature fundraising and experience for The Hive, blending joy and purpose in a way that reflects the organization’s belief that wellness is sustained through community. Proceeds from the event will support The Hive’s ongoing programs and services, including advocacy support, Community Circles, counseling and wellness, prevention education, and Bee Boxes.
