In 1986, my father, Nathaniel Abraham Sr., founded a newspaper dedicated to providing news and information to the African-American community in the Midlands. In December 1987, I graduated from the University of South Carolina and decided to join the family business. It was a momentous decision.

For 40 years, Carolina Panorama has been more than just a newspaper—it has been a trusted voice, a community connector, and a living record of the stories that shape our lives here in South Carolina. As Publisher, I am deeply grateful to every reader, advertiser, partner, and supporter who has stood with us on this journey.

From our earliest editions to today, your belief in the importance of local journalism has sustained us. You’ve invited us into your homes, trusted us with your stories, and supported the businesses that make our pages possible. Because of you, we’ve been able to highlight community achievements, uplift local voices, and provide coverage that informs, empowers, and inspires.

Reaching this 40-year milestone is not just a celebration of longevity—it’s a testament to the strength and resilience of this community. Through changing times and an evolving media landscape, your continued support has allowed Carolina Panorama to adapt while staying true to our mission.

As we look to the future, we ask for your continued partnership. Local journalism depends on community investment. We encourage our readers and business leaders to support Carolina Panorama by placing print and digital advertisements, which help us expand our reach and continue delivering quality coverage. We also welcome contributions and sponsorships that allow us to deepen our reporting and create more opportunities to serve our community.

Every ad purchased, every dollar contributed, and every story shared strengthens our ability to keep this publication thriving for the next generation.

On behalf of our entire team, thank you for 40 incredible years. We are honored to serve you—and with your continued support, we look forward to many more years of telling your stories.

With sincere appreciation,

Nate Abraham Jr.
