Students of Windsor Elementary School Being Recognized for Their Acceptance Into Their Middle School of Choice

When you think of signing day, athletics may come to mind. But not for 12 elementary school students recently accepted into middle school magnet programs in Richland School District Two. Windsor Elementary School leaders held a special signing ceremony to recognize the academic achievements of the following students and congratulate them on their acceptance into a magnet program or school of their choice.

  • Christian Barber, Leadership Academy at E. L. Wright (LAW) Middle School
  • Tayveon Bethea, STEM Institute of Design and Innovation (SIDI) at Summit Parkway Middle School
  • Levi Dill, Leadership Academy at E. L. Wright (LAW) Middle School
  • Mark Dill, Leadership Academy at E. L. Wright (LAW) Middle School
  • Theresa Fields, Fine Arts and Media Enrichment (FAME) at Dent Middle School
  • Mina Hattani, Leadership Academy at E. L. Wright (LAW) Middle School
  • Tony Logan, Leadership Academy at E. L. Wright (LAW) Middle School
  • Krishna Patel, Leadership Academy at E. L. Wright (LAW) Middle School
  • Natalia Roman, Leadership Academy at E. L. Wright (LAW) Middle School
  • Dreya Small, Leadership Academy at E. L. Wright (LAW) Middle School
  • Caden Tapia, Longleaf Engineering and Arts Program (LEAP) at Longleaf Middle School

During the ceremony, the fifth graders signed this pledge: “I promise to take full responsibility for my learning by striving for excellence in ALL that I do. I am committed to learning how to become an effective leader through critical thinking, research, experimentation, and application. I am committed to developing skills that lead to success in school and life.”

The students, who are in the Class of 2031, expressed aspirations to become doctors, teachers, zoologists, game developers, digital artists, mystery writers, and track stars.
