St. Paul AME Church of Irmo hosts Gun Violence Awareness Day

St. Paul AME Church of Irmo to host Gun Violence Awareness Day on Sunday, September 28.

This year’s theme is “Gun Violence: The Impact Beyond the Wound”. Our goal is to not only bring awareness to gun violence, but also to bring to light the impact of gun violence on the victims, assailants, families, friends and the community. The service will consist of guest speakers to include parents of gun violence victims as well as a former offender of gun violence.

The youth will attend Children’s Church where there will participate in a separate, age-appropriate presentation on gun safety. Children’s Church will also have a special guest speaker.

This event is free and open to the public! The event will be held at 10 am at St. Paul AME Church in Irmo.

For more information, please contact Kathy Stewart at 803-467-9338 or connect with us on Facebook at (@at)St. Paul AME Church-Irmo.
