Southeast Middle student named Young Entrepreneur of the Year

Southeast Middle School sixth-grade student A’Mya Goodwin was named a 2026 Young Entrepreneur of the Year by the South Carolina Council on Economic Education.

The award recognizes outstanding elementary, middle or high school students for their accomplishments in entrepreneurship.

A’Mya was one of six students from across the state and the only student from Columbia to receive the award. She is the CEO of Bubble Poppin’ Glosses, a handmade lip gloss business.

“I was so happy to get the award. I worked so hard on my business. It means a lot to me,” A’Mya said.
