The Luminal Theater and 3 Chambers will present an exclusive sneak preview of 40 ACRES, a new post-apocalyptic thriller starring Danielle Deadwyler (THE PIANO LESSON, THE WOMAN IN THE YARD, TILL, THE HARDER THEY FALL) and directed by R.T. Thorne.

The special South Carolina preview screening will take place on Saturday, June 21st from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Saloma Acres in Blythewood, South Carolina as part of The Luminal Theater’s “Films at the Farm” outdoor movie series.

In the film, after a series of plagues and wars leaves society in ruins, the Freemans are surviving — even thriving — on a farm in the middle of nowhere… so long as they repel the occasional raiding

party. Former soldier Hailey (Danielle Deadwyler) and her partner Galen (Michael Greyeyes) fled the collapse along with their children, training them to fight (and, yes, kill). But now Hailey’s eldest Emanuel (Kataem O’Connor) is a young man, and when he meets a young woman (Milcania Diaz-Rojas) in the forest beyond the fence, his need for human contact could place the whole family in jeopardy.

Tickets are on sale now for $5.00at www.luminaltheater.org The film’s trailer is available to watch on You-Tube. Bring your own chairs or blankets and enjoy a great movie under the stars. The film is rated R for strong bloody violent content and language.

This event is sponsored by The Luminal Theater, 3 Chambers, Saloma Acres and

the South Carolina Arts Commission. Tickets are on sale via LuminalTheater.org
