Carolina’s Caribbean Culture Festival (CCCF) presents the South Carolina Caribbean Festival. CCCF was founded by a group of Caribbean and Caribbean-American Individuals to introduce, promote and expand Caribbean Culture and showcase our rich Heritage in the Carolina’s.
You are invited to come and celebrate our Caribbean-American Heritage with us during Caribbean-American Heritage Month. Over 4 days and 7 fabulous events! The fun kicks off on Thursday June 6th with an International Night. This is an educational and informative experience with live performances, steel pan and your favorite DJ’s from 7 pm to 11 pm at The Big Apple, 1000 Hampton Street in Columbia.
On Friday June 7th, get “Runway Ready.” Come to the SC pool party from 11:30 am to 3 pm at 9875 Windsor Lake Blvd. Columbia. Then, all roads lead to “Color Me Caribbean – Paint Water Powder Festival” with color body paint. It’s a B.Y.O.B/ Cooler party from 9 pm to 2 am at the State Fairgrounds at 1200 Rosewood Drive.
On Saturday June 8th, we start the day off with a “Road Parade” from 11 am to 2 pm. Hundreds of patrons with colorful costumes and flags representing their respective Island will parade on the streets of downtown Columbia in a true representation of Freedom. We move right into the “Fanous Block Party – a free, family-friendly event featuring a live concert with performances by Soca Sensation Kerwin DuBois from Trinidad and Tobago; other local, national and international artiste, MC’s and DJ’s from noon – 8 pm on the 2000 Block of Marion Street between Calhoun & Elmwood streets. In keeping with tradition, the official after party “White Energy – (White ^ + Your Favorite Color)” features a diverse lineup of DJs spinning a variety of genres from 1 0 \mathrm { p m } – 2 \mathrm { a m } .
If you can keep up, our grand finale is Sunday, June 9th. “Punch’D” the cool down fete you don’t want to miss! Our mixed punches are sure to keep you dancing from 11 am – 3 pm.
