of Slavery, Herb Frazier and Joseph McGill will host a discussion forum and book signing in Griffin Hall. The book forum, sponsored by South Carolina Humanities offers participants the opportunity to hear a firsthand account of one man’s journey to sleep overnight in former slave dwellings that still stand across the country.

Mark your calendar! You are invited to join us on Saturday, February 24th at 4:00 p.m. for a choral performance by the Voorhees University Choir. The Singing Tigers, directed by Ms. Rachel Jones will perform in the sanctuary.

On Sunday, February 25th Dr. Anthony Broughton, Associate Dean and Associate Professor of Education at Alabama State University, awardwinning educator, author and illustrator, will be the guest speaker during the 10:00 a.m. service. Dr. Broughton is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated, and is a lifetime member and the 2023 National Outstanding Alumni Brother of the Year.

St. Luke’s Black History Month celebration culminates with an art exhibit showcasing the talents of Benedict College’s art students under the direction of Mr. Wendell Brown, Associate Professor, Art Studio. The exhibit will also feature works from Christina Caldwell of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church. The exhibit and St. Luke’s Food Fest will begin at 12:00 noon, following the morning liturgy, in the O’Neal Center.
