Faculty and staff members of South Carolina State University’s Department of Biological and Physical Sciences recently gave $1,000 to the Medical University of South Carolina for the Hollings Cancer Center’s annual LOWVELO bike ride project, which raises money for cancer research.
LOWVELO raises money for innovative and lifesaving cancer research at South Carolina’s only National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center: MUSC Hollings Cancer Center in Charleston. LOWVELO connects a dedicated group of riders, volunteers, virtual participants, sponsors, and staff members who are driven by compassion and a determination to end cancer.
The 2024 event is tentatively scheduled for the first Saturday of November.
