RNE quarterback named Richland County High School Player of the Year

Richland Northeast High School Quarterback Will Wilson was named the 2024- 2025 Richland County High School Player of the Year-Football at a banquet at R2i2 on Monday, December 2.

Richland County Recreation Commission and Richland County Recreation Foundation named Will Wilson the 2024-2025 Richland County High School Player of the Year-Football at a banquet at R2i2 on Monday, December 2. Wilson plays quarterback for Richland Northeast High School, and in the regular season, he recorded

1846 passing yards for 20 touchdowns and 824 rushing yards for 15 touchdowns.

Coaches from each of the 17 high schools in Richland County nominated a player from their team based on their academic performance, football skills, and community involvement. Coaches and media members voted on their top 5 nominees based on endof-the-year statistics. Each voter was required to include one player from Richland School District One, one player from Richland School District Two, and one player from SCISA in their top 5. All of the

nominees were recognized at the Player of the Year-Football Banquet on Monday in front of family members, coaches, sponsors, media members, and dignitaries.

Richland County Recreation Commission and Richland County Recreation Foundation thank the 2024- 2025 Player of the Year-Football Award: Cooper & Cooper Family Dentistry, Founders Federal Credit Union, Colucci Custom Awards, MSPF – Max Speed Performance and Fitness, and Williams Enterprises.
