Ridge View High School will host its annual “Cuts for Gabbiee” event this month in loving memory of Gabbiee Swainson. Gabbiee was a rising sophomore, a Bio Magnet student, and a JV cheerleader at Ridge View High School before her life was tragically cut short in 2013.
Each year, the RVHS Master Hair Care Program joins forces with advanced barbering students and local professional barbers and stylists to offer $10 haircuts to the community. All proceeds from the event go directly toward supporting the Gabbiee Swainson Scholarship and the RVHS Master Haircare Program.
The media and community are invited to come out, get a great haircut, and support a meaningful cause.
The event will take place on Sunday, August 23, 2026, from 1:00-5:00 pm at Ridge View High School Master Haircare Lab, located at 4801 Hard Scrabble Road in Columbia, SC 29229. Cost: $10.00 minimum donation
