Again this year, Richland One is teaming up with Prisma Health to fight the flu in our community. Starting October 3, Prisma Health will hold a series of flu shot clinics at sites throughout the Midlands, including two Richland One schools.
Free flu shots will be administered on a first-come, first-served basis to anyone six months and older. The October 5 flu shot clinic will be held
from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Lower Richland High School (2615 Lower Richland Boulevard, Hopkins, SC 29061). The October 19 flu shot clinic will be held from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Dreher High School (3319 Millwood Avenue, Columbia, SC 29205).
All of the flu shot clinics will be drive-through clinics, except the ones that will be held on the Prisma Health Baptist campus. Persons who
would like to receive flu shots should wear loose-fitting clothing that can easily roll up.
Consent forms are required and will be available at each site; children under 16 must have a consent form signed by a parent/guardian. A valid driver’s license or another photo ID is required to receive a flu shot.
