Moses Brown, Jr., Richland One’s director of security and emergency services, has been named the president of the South Carolina Association of School Resource Officers (SCASRO). He was sworn in during the SCASRO’s annual training conference June 14-19 in Myrtle Beach.

Officers (SCASRO).

The association’s goal is to promote and facilitate training and communication among school resource officers, school district personnel

and community organizations.

Brown was sworn in as president during the SCAS-RO’s annual training conference June 14-19 in Myrtle Beach. He previously served as the association’s first vice president.

“I am deeply honored to be sworn in as president of the South Carolina Association of School Resource Officers. Having previously served as first vice president, I have had the opportunity to work alongside some of the most dedicated school resource officers in our state,” said Brown.

“This role is both a privilege and a responsibility, and I look forward to supporting our members as we continue to promote school safety, foster positive relationships with students and strengthen partnerships between schools and law enforcement. Together, our team remains committed to serving South Carolina’s schools and communities with professionalism, integrity and purpose.”
