Richland Library issues call for Artists for Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 Residencies

Richland Library is excited to announce the official call for applications for its Artist-in-Residence program for the Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 terms. This unique opportunity invites visual, performance, and media artists (ages 18 and older) to apply by June 14, 2025, and become part of a vibrant creative exchange that connects artists and community members in

meaningful, inspiring ways.

Launched in 2015, Richland Library’s Artist-in-Residence program is designed to celebrate and support the Midlands’ artistic community. Selected artists receive a monthly stipend of $1,000, a dedicated studio space inside the library, and the chance to showcase their work through public programming, creative workshops, and collaborative

opportunities. Whether you’re a painter, poet, filmmaker, sculptor, or performance artist, this residency provides a rare opportunity to create freely while making a lasting impact on the Columbia arts scene.

For more information, or to schedule media interviews with the current Artist-in-Residence, please contact Tacara Young at tyoung@richlandlibrary.com or 803-351-5616.
