Raw Essence Natural Soap & Bath Company will hold a grand opening ceremony for its new location in downtown Columbia.
Mayor Daniel Rickenmann, City Council members, Office of Business Opportunities representatives, Main Street District representatives, owners of Raw Essence Natural Soaps & Bath Company invite the public to attend the ribbon cutting ceremony, which will take place on Monday, February12 at 11 a.m. at 1332 Main Street, Suite 110 in the historic Arcade building.
Raw Essence Natural Soaps & Bath Co., LLC was established in 2012 by M. Antwane Sheppard. A native of Charleston, she graduated from North Charleston High School before attending college.
“I originally went to college for nursing, but then I had a few kids,” Sheppard recalled. “I got a certificate training and education in medical assisting. So that’s what I did.”
