Prisma Health Children’s Hospital hosts classes for children suffering the loss of a loved one

One in 9 children in South Carolina will experience the death of a parent or sibling by the age of 18. Processing that grief, especially the loss of a loved one, can be one of the most challenging and heartbreaking things a child can experience.

Prisma Health Children’s Hospital–Midlands is offering Healing Hearts Grief Program for children ages five to 18 to process the loss of a loved one. Through the program, children are connected with their peers allowing them to safely express their emotions in a comfortable environment.
