Prisma Health appoints Anthony Jackson as Senior Vice President of Service Lines and Chief Community Officer

Prisma Health is pleased to announce the appointment of Anthony Jackson as senior vice president of service lines and chief community officer. In this expanded role, Jackson will oversee the strategic direction, operational excellence and performance of several key service lines, including neurosciences, orthopedics, cancer and heart and vascular care. He will also continue to lead efforts to advance population, community, and social health across Prisma Health’s network.

Jackson has played an instrumental role in the organization’s growth since joining Prisma Health in 2022. His previous leadership roles include serving as chief executive officer of Baptist and Baptist Parkridge hospitals, interim CEO of the Midlands, and vice president of business development and community relations.

“Anthony brings a rare combination of strategic insight, health care expertise, and a deep commitment to the communities we serve,” said Clarence Sevillian, executive vice president and chief operating officer. “His leadership will be key as we align clinical operations with business strategy to better serve our patients and communities.”

A native of Aiken, South Carolina, Jackson brings more than 30 years of health care leadership experience.

He began his career in health care after earning an associate degree in radiologic technology from Trident Technical College. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Central Wesleyan University and a master’s degree in healthcare administration from the University of Findlay in Ohio.

Known for his accessibility and focus on the patient experience, Jackson is excited to continue advancing Prisma Health’s mission to improve the health and well-being of all South Carolinians.
