The Pouring Tea Society, led by Ms. Vii, hosted a delightful luncheon to honor Dr. Jean Hopkins for her outstanding work as a nurse. The event took place on Friday, January 31, 2025, at the Brookland Banquet and Conference Center in West Columbia, South Carolina.

The atmosphere was filled with elegance as attendees donned their finest hats and pearl necklaces, creating a scene reminiscent of a bygone era. The luncheon

featured a series of engaging activities, including the distribution of door prizes, adding an element of excitement to the gathering.

The highlight of the afternoon was Dr. Hopkins’ appearance. Before delivering her speech, she surprised and delighted the audience with her iconic Tina Turner dance routine, filling the room with laughter and applause. Following her energetic performance, Dr. Hopkins took her seat to share her experiences

and insights from her years of dedicated service in the nursing profession.

After the speech, the ladies indulged in a traditional tea service, sipping from delicate cups and enjoying light refreshments.
