Wilfred L. Pace has been appointed to a three-year term on the board of the South Carolina African-American Heritage Commission. His term will end on December 31, 2026.

Mr. Pace serves on the Deacon Board of the Historic Bull Swamp Baptist Church of Orangeburg, Inc. He has been actively serving in the capacity of an Ordained Deacon since September 2011.

A major accomplishment there has been researching and documenting accurately the structural history of Bull Swamp Baptist Church which was rebuilt in 1919. Also researching, finding, and documenting the structural history of Bull Swamp Colored School which was built in 1936 with financial assistance from President Franklin Delano Roosevelt. His efforts have led to the development of a national historical preservation plan and remarkable restoration work which is underway now preserving the Bull Swamp Colored School.

Mr. Pace was recently appointed to the South Carolina African American Heritage Commission Board for a 3-year term by the SC Department of Archives & History.
