Joseph Bell, a fourthgrade teacher at Pine Grove Elementary School, was announced as Richland One’s 2024-2025 Teacher of the Year. Mark Davis, a therapeutic assistant at Horrell Hill Elementary School, was named the 2024-2025 Richland One Classified Employee of the Year.
The four other finalists for Richland One Teacher of the Year were: Katherine Bryant, an English language arts teacher at Hand Middle School; Susan Jones, a first-
fourth-grade teacher at Pine Grove Elementary School. grade teacher at Satchel Ford Elementary School; Katherine Pfrommer, a visual arts teacher at Dreher High School; and Chynna Wilson, a math teacher at W.A. Perry Middle School.
The five other finalists for Richland One Teacher of the Year were: Marvin Ash, in-school suspension monitor at John P. Thomas Elementary School; Elizabeth Cantey, administrative assistant at Alcorn Middle School; David Edwards, budget manager in the Office of Federal and State Programs; Jermaine Gray, Sr., instructional assistant at

Also during the program, A.C. Moore Elementary School music teacher Julia Turner was named Richland One’s 2024-2025 Induction Teacher of the Year.
Bus driver Blease Brown, a member of the North Main Student Transportation Services team, was recognized as the employee retiring this year with the most years of continuous service to Richland One (42 years).
