Bible Way Church of Atlas Road donated $30,000 to Benedict College on Sunday, March 15, 2026, during the 8:00 am morning worship service. Dr. Rosalyn Clark Artis, her husband, and daughter were in attendance to receive the gift.

Last month, on the fourth Sunday in February, during both the 8:00 and 11:00 am services, Pastor Darrell Jackson announced that Bible Way

would make an annual contribution to a historically Black college or university in South Carolina. This will now be a regular part of the church’s Black History Month celebrations.

“Our HBCUs have laid the foundation of our history in this country,” said Jackson. “I am proud that we now have the choice to attend any institution of higher learning we can afford. However, there was a time when the only schools we could attend were HBCUs,

and we should never forget that,” declared Jackson.

Funds for the donation were collected during services on the fourth Sunday in February and the first Sunday in March. Benedict College was chosen as the inaugural recipient. “Not only is this the school where my wife and I met, but both my Uncle Joe Jackson and my grandmother attended Benedict College… that’s three generations,” concluded Jackson.
