MUSC Health donates 14 AEDs to Richland County Sheriff’s Department to enhance lifesaving response

MUSC Health in the Midlands is partnering with the Richland County Sheriff’s Department to expand lifesaving emergency response capabilities by donating 14 automated external defibrillators (AEDs). These AEDs will be placed in patrol vehicles

across the county, equipping deputies with the tools needed to respond swiftly to cardiac emergencies.

A press conference will be held on Wednesday, July 9, at 2:30 p.m. at MUSC Health Columbia Medical Center Downtown (2435 Forest

Drive, Columbia) to recognize the donation and highlight the impact this initiative will have on public safety and community health.
