On May 4, 2024, at 10 am, Morris College will hold its annual commencement ceremony. The guest speaker for this momentous occasion will be Mr. Charles Blow.
Blow is a New York Times Best-selling author and an Op-Ed Columnist at The New York Times. Blow has led The Times to securing significant awards and acknowledgments. He has also worked for National Geographic Magazine and The Detroit News. His best-selling book titled, “Fire Shut Up in My Bones” won a Lambda Literary Award, the Sperber Prize and secured a spot on multiple “best of” lists. He has made guest appearances on “The
Late Show with Stephen Colbert”, SalonTV, “CBS News”, and an analyst on “MSNBC” and has been featured in The Washington Post, The Ringer, Oprah Daily and many more.
Blow is an advocate for social justice, racial equity and politics. He utilizes his platform to speak about income inequality, xenophobia, mental health and more.
