Miss South Carolina’s Teen 2026 Logan Wells is taking her commitment to youth service to the next level with the launch of The Serve Spot by Fresh Friends, an initiative designed to connect young people with meaningful opportunities to give back to their communities.

Wells, a Columbia native and rising senior at Heathwood Hall Episcopal School, was crowned Miss South Carolina’s Teen in June. Her community service initiative, Fresh Friends, focuses on cultivating youth volunteerism, inclusivity and friendship by connecting high school students with service opportunities.
The Serve Spot builds on that mission by creating a dedicated space where young people can discover ways to serve, connect with others and turn their interests into action.
Fresh Friends began as a school club founded by Wells and has since grown into a South Carolina nonprofit and registered 501(c)(3) organization open to high school students statewide. The organization has partnered with groups including the Downtown Church of Columbia, the Salvation Army and local school districts to connect teens with community service projects.
The initiative has already received significant recognition from state leaders. The South Carolina Senate and House of Representatives adopted resolutions honoring Wells and Fresh Friends for their contributions to communities across the Midlands.
For Wells, service has become central to her vision of leadership. During the Miss South Carolina’s Teen competition, she emphasized the importance of uplifting the community and challenged young people to think not only about what they want to do in the future, but what they can do now.
Now, as Miss South Carolina’s Teen, Wells is using her statewide platform to broaden that message.
The launch of The Serve Spot comes at a pivotal moment for Wells, who will represent South Carolina at the Miss America’s Teen competition in September. Beyond the crown, she hopes her work will encourage a generation of students to see service as something accessible, purposeful and rewarding.
Fresh Friends’ growth reflects that philosophy: rather than waiting for young people to become adults before encouraging civic engagement, Wells is creating opportunities for them to make a difference today.
With The Serve Spot, her message is straightforward — there is always a place to serve, and every young person has something valuable to contribute.
