7Sunday, in partnership with Rice & Gravy Studios and the City of Columbia’s Office of Business Opportunities (OBO), will host the BizArts State of the Union on March 20, highlighting six months of progress supporting small businesses and creatives across the Midlands.

Launched in 2025 by 7Sunday founder and creative entrepreneur Deon Generette, BizArts connects entrepreneurs, artists, and emerging business owners with mentorship, training, and collaborative opportunities designed to strengthen the region’s growing creative economy.

“Our partnership is a testament to our belief in the transformative power of local economies,” said Deon Generette, founder of 7Sunday and BizArts. “We are investing in the dreams and aspirations of individuals who are the backbone of our communities.”

Attendees will hear directly from participants in the NxLevel and Kaufman FastTrac 2026 cohorts, who will share how the program

has supported their entrepreneurial journeys. The event will also feature a video presentation titled “What’s Next?”, highlighting BizArts’ next phase and future expansion opportunities.

“The call to collaborate has never been stronger,” said Ayesha Driggers, Director of the City of Columbia Office of Business Opportunities. “BizArts is not just a cohort; it’s a movement. By strengthening our collective efforts, we can press toward a more perfect union of innovation, creativity, and economic prosperity.”
