Level Up Healthcare Academy held its first graduation and pinning ceremony or nurses on Friday, September 6, 2024. The ceremony was held at All Saints Episcopal Church in Cayce.

“This is our inaugural class of certified nursing assistants at Level Up Healthcare Academy,” said Dr. Colette Townsend-Chambers, who opened Level Up Healthcare Academy in June. “These two ladies have worked hard. Ms. Morales and Ms. Scott will be taking their state exam very shortly. Once they do that, they will be Certified Nurse Assistants.”

According to Dr. Chambers, Level Up Healthcare Academy was established to educate, train and certify people as caregivers for a growing aging population. Students receive 60 hours of didactic and skills as well as 40 hours

of clinical experience. The caregivers will be launched into the healthcare field in a 6-week period once they pass a state board exam. Level Up provides test prep prior to the exam.

Dr. Chambers said that the academy’s objective is to help the healthcare industry meet a critical need for more nurses. Another objective is to help people achieve a brighter future by training them for a new career. She is currently looking for new students for its next class.

“We’re looking for more students,” she said. “Please send them our way at Level Up Healthcare Academy,” she said. “As I always say, level up your education and level up your life.”

Level Up Healthcare Academy is located at 1100 12th Street in Cayce, South Carolina. For more information, call 803-814- 0033.
