A groundbreaking moment in fashion is on the horizon as Goddest “Mystique” Jenkins, one of the first-ever legally blind fashion designers in Columbia, prepares to debut her vibrant and inclusive clothing line, Mystique Fashions, with the launch of her premiere collection, Crown in Color.
Jenkins is no stranger to breaking barriers. She is the 2025 Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award recipient, a U.S. Ambassador for the Blind and Visually Impaired appointed through the United Nations, and the reigning 2022 Miss Blind Empowerment Pageant titleholder. As a legally blind woman who has walked the runways of New York Fashion Week and Orlando Fashion Week, Jenkins knows firsthand the power of visibility, representation, and confidence. Her story is one of strength birthed through pain, and purpose shaped by perseverance.
Inspired by her own journey and the lack of inclusive fashion representation, Jenkins launched Mystique Fashions to merge purpose with style, and to boldly advocate
for diversity and accessibility in the fashion world. Her line was created to give others the same sense of courage and belonging she once had to find on her own.
The debut collection, Crown in Color, is a bold and empowering activewear line that features uplifting, inspirational messages in both print and braille. The designs are meant to be read and embraced by individuals who are blind, visually impaired, or sighted—proving that fashion can be inclusive, powerful, and universally expressive. Mystique Fashions is more than a clothing brand; it is a movement that celebrates the unseen and ensures that no voice—or body—is left out of the narrative.
Models of all abilities, including those who are blind, visually impaired, and sighted, will walk the runway together for the very first time—united in purpose, style, and vision.
This isn’t just a fashion show. This is history in the making.
