Just days after the Juneteenth event, I had the privilege of serving as a “Tech Angel” during an AI Certification program held at Georgia Tech. Hosted by the TILE Program (Technology, Innovation, Learning and Entrepreneurship) and led by the team at AI InnoVision, the company founded by Alicia Lyttle and her sister, Lorette Lyttle. The weekend was focused on bringing real AI education to college students across the Atlanta area.
These weren’t just students. They were
builders, problem-solvers, and visionaries from Spelman, Morehouse, Georgia Tech, Clark Atlanta, Morris Brown, and beyond. Many were juniors and seniors already working on business models to address challenges in caregiving, event networking, music production, and digital marketing, protective gear in sports, and more.
As a Tech Angel, I assisted students as they brainstormed solutions and refined their use of AI tools to bring their ideas to life. The level of innovation and collaboration was something special. I witnessed firsthand what happens when access meets ambition— and the results were electric.
From Reflection to Action
Both events reminded me that AI isn’t just about automation or algorithms. It’s about access, education, and community voice. From honoring Juneteenth’s legacy to supporting our future leaders at Georgia Tech, these experiences proved that we belong in this conversation—and at the forefront of this movement.
I invite you to stay connected as we continue to build, educate, and empower through tech and truth. Join our email list, explore our free resources, and be part of this journey toward a more inclusive AI future.
