On April 25, 2025, Learn-2Lead Academy officially opened its new location at 912 Hazelwood Road in Columbia, South Carolina. This familyrun daycare center was originally started in 2020 inside of the home of two sisters, Julianne Peay and Julia Christie. Five years later, they’ve grown from a small home childcare into a full day care center for children ages 2 to 12.
Julianne Peay, the director, came up with the name “Learn2Lead” years ago because she’s always believed in helping little ones become leaders instead of followers. She has worked in childcare since graduating college and has dreamed of opening her own daycare since she was just five years old.
Learn2Lead is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 6 {: } 0 0 \mathrm { p. m } . They offer all-day childcare and after-school programs. The center also connects families with speech therapy resources and is working on offering vouchers for low-income families through DSS. The goal of Learn2Lead is to help every child reach their milestones and full potential.
