The Koger Center for the Arts is hosting a 35th birthday party event from 5 \textrm { – } 8 \mathrm { p. m } . on Thursday, August 22, 2024. The event is free and open to the public.
The Koger Center for the Arts has dedicated itself over the last 35 years to promoting art appreciation in Columbia and creating an accessible setting for audiences to experience highquality performances and view amazing visual art by South Carolina artists. The birthday party is a dedication and celebration for everyone who helped the
Koger Center become a staple in the South Carolina arts landscape. Patrons can stop by any time between 5 \textrm { – } 8 \mathrm { p. m } . for free cake and drinks, music from the Soda City Brass Band and the School of Music, and exclusive behind-the-scenes looks at the building, including brand-new renovations. Guests will receive a Koger Center branded gift upon completing an exploratory passport that takes them around the facility, and can enter into a prize drawing for free tickets to Koger Center events.
A crowdfunding campaign
for the Koger Center has also opened up in conjunction with the 35th anniversary. Patrons interested in buying “birthday gifts” for the Koger Center can choose to donate an amount of their choice to a specified fund: the Koger Center Presents Fund, the Koger Center Renovations Fund, the Koger Center Critical Needs Fund, and the Koger Center Endowment Fund.
