Kamila’s Kitchen Business of the Week

Sunday, October 20th marked the grand opening of Kamila’s Kitchen, a new local gem located at 1828 Platt Springs Road. Owned and operated by Randi Dais, the restaurant brings a fresh spin on soulful, home-cooked meals to the area.

The inspiration behind Kamila’s Kitchen comes from a deeply personal place for Randi.

“I named the restaurant after my daughter, Kamila. It’s a motivation for me to succeed,” she shared. “I’ve been cooking for about six years, and my passion for it just kept growing until I finally decided to open up my own place.”

Kamila’s Kitchen offers a wide variety of delicious meals, including homemade chicken salad, the popular “chicken on a stick,” and soulful Sunday specials featuring oxtails and turkey wings. Customers can choose from signature sauces like the Kamila Special Sauce or Teriyaki.

Randi is proud to deliver quality meals, driven by her love for cooking and her dedication to excellent service. For Randi, the restaurant is not just about good food, but also about giving back to the

community. “Every Friday, we offer free coffee to senior citizens aged 50 and up. I believe in treating people the way you want to be treated,” she said.

Randi’s deep faith and resilience have shaped her journey.

“What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger,” she said, reflecting on the challenges she faced growing up and the support she found through adoption.

Kamila’s Kitchen is open daily from 9 a.m. to { \mathrm { 9 p. m. } } , offering a cozy spot where customers can enjoy a meal, sip coffee, and relax. The restaurant is also extending a 5 % discount to students, and catering services may be coming soon.
