Junior Achievement of Greater South Carolina (JAGSC), a nonprofit dedicated to inspiring and preparing young people to succeed in a global economy, has been awarded a three-year commitment totaling $75,000 from Colonial Life.
The funds will be used to help support JA Finance Park Mobile. JA Finance Park® is Junior Achievement’s capstone program for personal financial planning and career exploration. This program, comprising a curriculum and a simulation, helps students build a foundation on which they can make intelligent financial decisions that last a lifetime, including decisions related
to income, expenses, savings, and credit.
Junior Achievement of Greater SC President, Casey Pash said, “Because of Colonial Life’s commitment to education, high school students all across South Carolina will be able to experience JA Finance Park. These students will forever remember the day they had to research, budget for different categories, and live as adults. Partners like Colonial Life who understand the earlier we can teach students these skillsets and mindsets, recognize that our communities will be stronger in the future.”
Marie McGehee, Director of Corporate Social Responsibility
for Colonial Life said, “Partnering with Junior Achievement of Greater South Carolina allows us to bring financial literacy to life for students. Through the Finance Park Mobile experience, students gain practical money management skills and learn how to navigate the choices that come with financial independence.
