It Takes Heart Foundation is a nonprofit 501 (c) 3 certified organization with the Internal Revenue Service and is tax deductible for any legal business. Our organization has dedicated our efforts to lowering the risk of Sudden Cardiac Death in athletes of all ages by providing heart screenings which includes limited heart ultrasounds (echocardiogram). We offer this service to all athletes in South Carolina and our surrounding states by providing programs such as education, prevention, support, and advocacy. We are stationed in Columbia, SC; however, we service outside of this area due to our portable capabilities.
At It Takes Heart, we are currently working on projects that will allow us to begin/continue a great health initiative that has been overlooked with our athletes for so many years. We strive to potentially save a life with early detection of heart abnormalities prior to physical activities.
