While working, Pointer earned her SAFe 6 Certified Scrum Master certification and Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI).

Most recently, she held the position of associate vice president/strategy & planning consultant for the chief operations officer on the Strategic Programs and Enterprise Change Management Team at Wells Fargo.

Pointer was a leader at work and in the community, as a member of the Wells Fargo HBCU Roundtable and Black & African American Connection supporting DEI and HBCU events such as the MEAC Tournament, Celebration Bowl, and the Legacy Debit Card initiative.

She has also partnered with the National

Black MBA Association as a member and liaison with the students of the HBCU Cohort Program and a board member with the Our HBCUs Matter Foundation.

Pointer is originally from Orangeburg, and she attended Felton Laboratory School K-8th grade on the SC State campus. During her high school days at Orangeburg Wilkinson, she was a four-year letterman in tennis, cheerleading, and AFJROTC Blue Angels Fancy Platoon and Drill Team.

She has been a lifelong member of Williams Chapel AME Church in Orangeburg.

Pointer is the youngest of three generations of Bulldogs. She is the proud daughter of Jacqueline P. Turner, SC State Class of 1994, and retired clerk to the County Council of Orangeburg.

Pointer has served as the 2013 and 2014 Miss Charlotte Chapter, SCSUNAA, and has been honored as the 2019 Charlotte Chapter Newcomer of the Year. In 2022, she was awarded SCSUNAA National Distinguished Young Alumnus of the Year. She recently received the honor from the Charlotte Chapter as 2023 Alumnus of the Year.
