Meadowfield Elementary School instructional assistant Kanesha Bowman received the Alternative Pathways to Educator Certification (APEC) Professional Commitment Award from Columbia College.
APEC Fellows are classified staff who are seeking teaching certification. The Fellow that receives the APEC Professional Commitment award is recognized for their dedication and willingness to go above and beyond in their field experience and coursework.
Bowman has been an APEC Fellow since May 2023. She is set to receive her master’s degree from Columbia College in December.
“Receiving the APEC Professional Commitment Award is truly an honor. I’m grateful for the recognition of
my dedication and hard work in my profession. It motivates me to continue striving for excellence and contributing positively to my field,” said Bowman, who is in her ninth year at Meadowfield.
