Grammy-nominated SC State music industry instructor to host Valentine’s fundraiser

Willie Bradley, a music industry instructor at South Carolina State University, will present the “Valentine’s Dinner, Jazz and Romance” event to raise funds for scholarships on Saturday, Feb. 10, at Sulit Luxe Affairs, 1005 Broughton St.

The event will support the scholarship fund Bradley established for SC State music industry students, and Bradley is seeking sponsors in addition to ticket sales.

The festivities will begin at 6 p.m.

Featured artists will include Bradley, who is a three-time Grammy-nominated jazz artist, as well as saxophonist Paula Atherton and DJ Big Worm from Columbia. The event will be hosted by Vernessa Pendergrass from the Big DM.

Tickets are $75 per person. Valentine’s Dinner, Jazz & Romance Tickets, Saturday, February 10, 2024 at 6:00 PM. Tickets are available at Eventbrite.

The exhibition is a collaboration between Dr. Walter B. Curry, founder of Renaissance Publications, LLC, SCSU alum exhibition artist Chakalah Crawford, founder of A.D.D. Art by Kalah, and spoken word artist, TK: The Talented Kani.
