Free Sunday tours at Modjeska Monteith Simkins House will be held on Sunday, December 15 from 1:00 – 4 {: } 0 0 \mathrm { p. m } .
On the third Sunday of the month, residents of Richland and Lexington counties are invited to tour one of Historic Columbia’s house museums for FREE thanks to Richland County, with support from HC Board Liaison, Councilwoman Gretchen Barron! This month, self-guided tours of the Modjeska Monteith Simkins House are offered from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m.
Additionally, Dr. Alex
andria Russell will be onsite to share her new book, Black Women Legacies: Public History Sites Seen & Unseen, which features Historic Columbia’s work in preserving the Modjeska Monteith Simkins House and Mann-Simons Site.
Admission is FREE for Historic Columbia members and residents of Richland and Lexington counties with valid ID. All others are $12 for adults, $8 for youth.
