Lucy was born in Columbia, South Carolina on September 19, 1943 to the late Henry Mack Sanders and Lucy Elizabeth Sanders. She departed this earthly life on Thursday, September 25, 2025. She was educated in the Richland District One Public school system. She was a proud graduate of C.A. Johnson High school. She received medical certifications at Midlands Technical College. She worked as a mental health specialist for South Carolina Department of Mental Health for more than 30 years. She treated everyone the way she wanted to be treated.
Mrs. Lucy E. Boulware was a member of Chapelle Memorial African Methodist church for over 55 years. She was a loyal and supportive member. She attended there until she was unable to do so due to her declining health at which point she continued by viewing church services and programs online. She was one of the original members of the Floral Club Ministry. Mrs. Lucy loved her family friends and church.
She was first wedded to Robert Davis after divorcing. She began a new life with Lawrence Boulware and they were married 44 years until his death.
Mrs. Boulware was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 44 years Lawrence Boulware.
Surviving relatives include her four children Felicia (Allen Shell) Davis, Robert L. Davis, Jr., Sherry Davis and Adriane Boulware all of Columbia, South Carolina. She leaves three siblings: Jean S. Hopkins, Shirley (Wardell) Brown, Arthur Ray (Elizabeth) Dickey, Sr. and a host of family and friends to cherish fond memories.
