Orangeburg County School District (OCSD) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Donyale Mosley as the Coordinator of the Dropout Prevention Program. Dr. Mosley, who currently serves as the principal of Robert Howard Middle School, brings extensive experience in education, coupled with a firm commitment to supporting student success. In her new position, Dr. Mosley will lead districtwide initiatives focused on identifying at-risk students, implementing targeted interventions, and developing comprehensive strategies to improve student retention and graduation rates.
Her leadership at Robert Howard Middle School, as well as her previous role at Clark Middle School, has significantly contributed to promoting academic excellence, student engagement, and the development of strong community partnerships—efforts she plans to extend in her new role. Moreover, since 2005, Dr. Mosley has supported the students in OCSD at North Middle/High, Orangeburg-Wilkinson High, and Mellichamp Elementary School.
“Dr. Mosley has shown consistent dedication to the academic success of our students, and we are confident that her leadership will positively impact our efforts to reduce dropout rates across the district,” stated Dr. Shawn D. Foster, Superintendent of OCSD. “Her skills in educational leadership and student support will be key as we work to ensure that every student has fair access to opportunities that support their full potential.”
Throughout her career, Dr. Mosley has advocated for student achievement, stressing the importance of academic support, mentorship, and community involvement in the educational process. As Coordinator of the Dropout Prevention Program, she will work closely with school administrators, educators, families, and community partners to create a supportive and inclusive environment that actively engages students and keeps them on the path toward graduation.
“I am truly honored to take on this new role and to continue serving the students of OCSD in a capacity that directly impacts their future success,” remarked Dr. Mosley. “Every student deserves the chance to succeed, and I look forward to working with our schools and the community to provide the necessary resources and support to achieve that goal.”
OCSD remains committed to promoting educational excellence and ensuring that all students are provided with the tools and support necessary for achieving their goals. Dr. Mosley’s appointment reaffirms the district’s dedication to reducing dropout rates and empowering students to succeed in their academic endeavors.
