NAACP SC State Conference King Day at the Dome March & Rally was held on Monday, January 20th. The annual event began at Zion Baptist Church on Washington Street. The theme was “There is no Winning in Giving Up.”
The keynote speaker at Zion Baptist Church was Rev. Dr. Jamey O. Graham. His message to the attendees was Don’t Settle. After the program the marchers lined up in preparation to walk to the State House.
At the State House, the Keynote Speaker was Mr. Jamie Harrison Esq. Chairman of the Democratic National Committee. Harrison reminded the crowd to be “Fired Up to Get Out To Vote.”

implied that had they did, they may have been looking at US Senator Harrison instead the Democratic Chair. They also might have been installing VP Kamala Harris at the inauguration in Washington DC.
Harrison reminded the
citizens of South Carolina that “Voting is not every 4 years or 2 years, you have to vote in your local elections, too. Get out and vote in the Governor’s election next year to determine who will be in the Governor’s House.”
